About Us

Filling a critical gap in
migrant support services.

Ireland has become home to thousands of migrants from Africa, Asia and other regions. While many services focus on women, children, employment and housing, there remains a significant gap in services designed specifically for migrant men.

Problem Statement

Many migrant men arrive from cultures that differ significantly from Irish social norms and legal frameworks. Challenges often include:

Difficulty adjusting to new family dynamics

Lack of understanding of Irish family law

Social isolation and loneliness

Mental health struggles

Unemployment and underemployment

Family conflict and separation

Limited support networks

Cultural identity challenges

Increased vulnerability to legal difficulties and social exclusion

Without targeted support, these challenges can negatively affect individuals, families, and communities.

The Migrant Men Empowerment and Integration Initiative (MMEII) provides education, mentorship, coaching and counselling, advocacy, and community support to migrant men enabling them to become responsible family members, productive citizens, and positive contributors to Irish society.

The organisation promotes healthy family relationships, respect for Irish laws and values, mental well-being, conflict resolution, leadership development, and community engagement.
